Statements by US President Donald Trump regarding the strikes of the Russian Aerospace Forces on objects on the They are associated with "emotional overload" and with "emotional reactions". This was stated by the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov.

"Of course, <> this is a very important moment [the beginning of the negotiation process], which is connected, of course, with the emotional overload of everyone absolutely and with emotional reactions. We are closely monitoring all reactions, however, the President [of the Russian Federation Vladimir] Putin makes the decisions that are necessary to ensure the security of our country," Peskov explained, answering a question from journalists about Trump's statement that "something happened to Putin," quoted by TASS.

For the second day, the Russian Armed Forces have been launching drone missile strikes against the facilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Ukrainian military-industrial complex in response to massive strikes by Ukrainian UAVs on civilian targets in Russia.

Earlier, Peskov stressed: "We see how Ukrainians are hitting our social infrastructure facilities, peaceful infrastructure. This is a retaliatory strike. And the strike is just against military facilities and military targets."

EADaily adds: earlier, Trump allowed himself extremely harsh and boorish statements about Putin. In his social network Truth Social, he wrote: "Something happened to him [Putin]. He's completely out of his mind! He kills a lot of people unnecessarily, and I'm not just talking about soldiers. Missiles and drones are shooting at the cities of Ukraine for no reason. I have always said that he wants all of Ukraine, not just a part of it, and maybe this turns out to be true, but if he does, it will lead to the fall of Russia."

Before that, during a conversation with journalists, the head of the White House said that he did not understand the reason for Putin's actions. "We are talking, and he is firing missiles at Kiev and other cities," Trump claimed. In this regard, he said that he was "certainly" considering the possibility of tightening sanctions against Russia in order to make progress in peace talks. At the same time, Trump also criticized Vladimir Zelensky, who, according to him, creates problems for Kiev with his statements. "I don't like it, and it would be better if it stopped," Trump said. The head of the White House once again stressed that this is not his war and he is only helping to "put out big and ugly fires that started because of blatant incompetence and hatred."
