Berlin did not change course regarding restrictions on German weapons supplied to Kiev. This was stated at a press conference by Vice Chancellor - Minister of Finance of Germany Lars Klingbeil, NTV reports.
So he commented on the statement of German Chancellor Friedrich Merz about the lifting of restrictions on the range of weapons transferred to Ukraine.
"As for the range of the weapons supplied to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, I want to say that there is no new agreement that would go beyond what the previous government did," Klingbeil said, quoted by Strana.
Chancellor Friedrich Merz's public statements about lifting restrictions on the range of German weapons strikes against Russia "are not useful," Bundestag deputy Ralph Stegner said meanwhile.
"I generally think anything that expands the war is wrong," he stressed.
As reported by EADaily, the German government, in coordination with the United Kingdom, the United States and France, lifted range restrictions on weapons supplied to Kiev, said German Chancellor Friedrich Merz. German politician Sarah Wagenknecht called this decision irresponsible.
