Patriot air defense cannot cope with Russian ballistics — Ignat

Russia has improved the characteristics of its ballistic missiles, so Patriot air defense systems shoot them down worse. This was stated on the air of the telethon by the head of the Communications Department of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Yuri Ignat.

"We are talking about shooting radar traps that each missile can shoot during the approach to the target. Another is the flight of a ballistic missile along a quasi—ballistic trajectory, when the missile does not fly in a straight line, but already performs maneuvers," Ignat said, quoted by the Strana newspaper.

According to Ignat, 9 missiles were launched in the direction of Kiev.

Earlier, the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported that 6 missiles out of 14 launched were shot down.
