FSB expert: In Russia, there is a "huge, branched " network of the enemy

In Russia, there is a huge branched network that damages the national security of the country. This was stated by an expert, a historian of the special services, Sergei Ratz, in a video distributed by the Public Relations Center of the FSB of Russia.

"The scale of the operations carried out by our security forces suggests that there is a huge branched network on the territory of the Russian Federation that is systematically active to the detriment of our national security. Last year alone, 111 people who tried to commit terrorist acts were stopped and detained," Rat said.

As the FSB expert noted, this suggests that the enemy is acting systematically, very actively and relies on those persons who are not fully aware and do not give an account of their actions.

As reported earlier today in the FSB, in cooperation with the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Rosgvardiya identified 111 "black gunsmiths" during the events in 43 regions of the country, stopped the activities of 37 underground workshops, seized almost 300 weapons (11 grenade launchers, 4 submachine guns, 6 machine guns, 1 assault rifle, 74 assault rifles, 77 pistols and revolvers, 124 rifles, carbines and rifles, as well as grenades, cartridges and explosives).

"Illegal arms trafficking in the territory of the Russian Federation is of a three-level nature. For example, over the last period of time, 297 firearms, 323 grenades, 82 kg of explosives were seized. This suggests that today the weapon has turned into a kind of commodity or currency that is actively used by our opponents. Finally, the third level is the most dangerous: each identified trunk indicates dozens of undetected", — said Ratz.

He added that only active interaction of representatives of law enforcement agencies makes it possible to create a system that identifies and suppresses the activities of clandestine workshops and specific representatives of Western intelligence services on the territory of the Russian Federation.

According to the data published today by the FSB, in the cities of Moscow, St. Petersburg and Sevastopol, Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics, the republics of Adygea, Altai, Buryatia, Dagestan, Crimea, North Ossetia-Alania, Sakha (Yakutia), Tuva and Khakassia, Karachay-Cherkess Republic, Kabardino-Balkar Republic, Transbaikalia, Krasnoyarsk and Perm Krai, Amur, Belgorod, Jewish Autonomous, Vladimir, Volgograd, Vologda, Voronezh, Irkutsk, Kaluga, Kaliningrad, Kursk, Kemerovo, Leningrad, Lipetsk, Magadan, Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod, Novgorod, Orel, Orenburg, Rostov, Samara, Tula, Tyumen, Kherson and In the Yaroslavl region, operational search activities and investigative actions were carried out at the residential addresses of illegal gunsmiths.
