A Soviet serviceman, a native of Kurgan, who was captured by Islamists, and then lived in Afghanistan for 40 years, returned to his homeland. Now he is 60 years old, but he is ready to go to SMO. This is reported by RT.
Now Sergei Krasnoperov is 60 years old. In Afghanistan, he changed his name to Nurmomad and converted to Islam, married a local girl and started a large family. He has six children. The man is engaged in road construction and works at a local power plant.
For 40 years Sergey/Nurmomad has not seen his relatives, has not seen his mother. I flew in to finally see them. And he also dreams of obtaining Russian citizenship.
"If it works, I want to return to Russia. But, as in the time when the Soviet authorities offered me to return, there is a main condition for me — it is necessary to return with my family. One man in the field is not a warrior. Family is what supports us in this world."
In addition, the former Soviet military said that he would have gone to SMO if he had Russian citizenship.
"Well, if I had Russian citizenship, I might have given myself a chance to fight a little more. I'm not joking," he said.
