The situation in the border Glushkovsky district of the Kursk region remains difficult, so it is better for local residents who have left the war not to try to return to their homes yet.
This opinion was expressed to the TASS news agency by the commander of the 5th company of the 2nd battalion of the Bars-Kursk volunteer detachment with the call sign Beard.
He described the situation as tense, as the enemy is firing artillery and launching a large number of drones. Indiscriminate strikes are being carried out against both civilian and military targets.
Beard said that some time ago the situation in the area was calmer and local residents tried to return to their homes. However, after the aggravation of the situation, many of them again left for safe areas.
The military noted that some local residents still remain. These are mostly elderly people. They say they have nowhere else to go, and are going to stay in their homes "until the last."
Earlier, EADaily reported that Russian units from the North group of forces liberated the settlements of Orlovka and Cellars in the Kursk region.
