Kiev already admits the possibility of transit of Azerbaijani gas through Ukraine, but the best solution for Europe would be to resume transit of Russian gas. This was stated to local media by Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico, according to TA3 TV channel.
"Under the enormous pressure that we are exerting, Ukraine is beginning to talk about its readiness to consider the possibility of transit of Azerbaijani gas through its territory towards Europe," Fico said, quoted by Strana.
According to Fico, "the most reasonable solution for Europe would be to continue the transit of Russian gas through Ukraine."
