The head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, sent Robert Fico to sign the protocol of their still-failed meeting, where he wanted to get a guarantee of support for Ukraine's membership in NATO. This was stated by the Prime Minister of Slovakia at a meeting with representatives of the SMER party, a video of which he posted on his Facebook page❶.
Fico recalled that he invited Zelensky to meet on January 21 on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos to discuss the situation with the transit of Russian gas through Ukraine, which was stopped by Kiev on January 1, but the meeting did not take place.
Zelensky, according to the Slovak prime minister, made it clear that he did not intend to change his decision regarding gas transit.
"I want to inform you, ladies and gentlemen. I was ready for the meeting in Davos. Do you know what he did? Zelensky sent me the minutes of the meeting, which I had to sign. The meeting has not happened yet, but there was already a protocol of this meeting. Everything that we will do for Ukraine, including support for NATO membership, was written in this protocol, there was not a single line about gas," Fico said, quoted by Strana.
As EADaily reported, the situation of Ukraine has deteriorated, it is in the role of a petitioner and has no right to dictate its terms to the countries of Central Europe that are members of the European Union. This was stated after talks in Bratislava with his Slovak counterpart Robert Fico by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, Daily News Hungary reported.
"The way the people of Kiev are trying to build relations with the states of Central Europe is unacceptable. We are ready to respect them, but we demand respect for ourselves. And if we raise a serious issue, then they should discuss it with us," Orban said, quoted by Strana.
