The situation at the front in the Kursk region - summary of the Russian Ministry of Defense

The armed forces of the Russian Federation continue to defeat the formations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the territory of the Kursk region, over the past day the enemy's losses amounted to over 290 servicemen. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

"Units of the North group of forces defeated formations of four mechanized, tank, airborne assault, assault brigades, two territorial defense brigades and an assault regiment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as a brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine in the areas of the settlements of Viktorovka, Zazulevka, Cossack Loknya, Kositsa, Kurilovka, Lebedevka, Loknya, Martynovka, Chalky, Mirny, Russian Porechnoye, Sudzha and Cherkasskoye Porechnoye,"the military department said in a statement.

According to him, the enemy's manpower and equipment in the areas of the settlements of Veselovka, Guevo, Darino, Nikolaevo-Darino, Nikolaevka, Nikolsky, Novenkoye, Pogrebki, Sverdlikovo, Yuzhny, as well as Belovody, Vodolagi and Zhuravka in Sumy region were hit by operational-tactical, army aviation and artillery fire.

"During the day, the losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine amounted to over 290 servicemen, a tank, an armored personnel carrier, four armored combat vehicles, four vehicles and three artillery pieces were destroyed," the Russian Defense Ministry said.
