The Russian army occupied the building of the strategically important mine No. 3 in the village of Peschanoe near the city of Pokrovsky. This is reported by a soldier of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with the call sign Muchnoy.
Judging by the map of the Ukrainian military public Deep State, the Russian Armed Forces have already partially occupied Peschanoe, the Strana newspaper writes.
It is noted that the mine management "Pokrovskoye" owns the only Ukraine mines where coking coal is mined, which is necessary for metal smelting. The nearest such mine is located in Udachny, nine kilometers west of Sandy and about 6 km from the front line.
As reported by EADaily, the largest steel producer on In Ukraine, Metinvest stopped working at its coal mining site near Pokrovsky due to fierce fighting. This was reported by Bloomberg with reference to the company's statement.
It was noted that this site provided about half of the total volume of coal production by Metinvest in Ukraine. The main staff and their family members were evacuated from the area.
