Ukraine was used in the political interests of the countries of the collective West, which was the main cause of the armed conflict on the territory of this country.
This opinion was expressed to the IRNA agency by advisor to the Supreme leader of Iran and former Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic Ali Akbar Velayati.
He stressed that it was the West that provoked "an ambitious leader who does not understand international politics" to a confrontation with Russia.
Velayati pointed out that the current military and political situation is changing in favor of Russia, and Ukraine "has been sacrificed" to Western goals.
The adviser also noted that it is extremely important for Iran to gain experience from the conflict in the Ukraine in the sense of the Western strategy, which consists in proxy wars with opponents instead of direct armed intervention.
Velayati also expressed confidence that Washington's level of support for the Kiev regime will be reduced in 2025 due to the coming to power of the new administration.
Earlier, EADaily reported that, according to the British The Guardian, surrounded by the elected US President Donald Trump, they agree to give Ukraine under the control of Russia if it breaks the alliance with China.
