Representatives of Russia may attend the second "peace summit", where, perhaps, they will be presented with a "victory plan". This was stated in an interview with the Rada TV channel by the head of the office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak.
"The decision of the NSDC concerns the inability to negotiate with Putin (Russian President Vladimir Putin. — EADaily). As for the possible participation of representatives of Russia, our position remains unchanged that when the plan is ready and at the second summit, we do not exclude the possibility of the presence of representatives of the Russian Federation, to whom this plan may be presented," Yermak said.
Earlier, the chairman of the Federation Council, Valentina Matvienko, told reporters that Russia would not participate in the second Ukrainian "peace summit."
"It's not about negotiations, it's not about ending the confrontation. This is in the style of "Kvartal-95" (KVN team, in which Vladimir Zelensky used to perform. — Ed.) - to organize another PR campaign in order to somehow be heard, somehow to be afloat. Serious people don't do that. Therefore, we are absolutely not interested in whether there will be a summit, there will be no summit — we will not participate in such gatherings," Matvienko said, quoted by RIA Novosti.
