A group of sixty Ukrainian servicemen abandoned their positions and fled from the advancing Russian army at one of the sites in the border area of the Kursk region.
This was told in his Telegram channel by the commander of the special forces "Akhmat", deputy head of the Main military-Political Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, Major General Apty Alaudinov.
"I want to note that at one site there, 60 of them just took off, ran away. There, the command tried to bring them back with every fiber of their being, but they said that's it, we won't fight, and pushed towards the border, abandoning everything," he said.
The Akhmat commander also reported that his fighters destroyed a hangar with military equipment of the Ukrainian army, a calculation of FPV drones and a mortar in the Sudzhansky district.
In addition, the general noted the rapid advance of Russian troops in the Donetsk direction, where the city of Ukrainsk was liberated.
As reported by EADaily, earlier Alaudinov said that the Ukrainian military command was preparing an operation in the Kursk region as a blitzkrieg, it involved more than 200 tanks, more than 400 armored vehicles.
