Armenia hopes for the development of relations with Ukraine and for a qualitatively new level of cooperation between the countries. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this on August 24 in a message to Volodymyr Zelensky, whose term of office expired on May 20, on the occasion of Ukraine's Independence Day.
"Relations between Armenia and Ukraine is built on centuries-old friendship and mutual respect between our peoples, and the intensification of contacts at various levels has given these relations an additional impetus. I hope that our joint efforts will contribute to the continued development of relations and raising mutually beneficial cooperation to a qualitatively new level," the message reads.
Pashinyan also wished Zelensky good health and success, and peace and all the best to the people of Ukraine.
In October 2023, Pashinyan met and had a short conversation with Zelensky during the third forum of the European Political Community in Granada, Spain. The conversation of politicians took place on the sidelines of the event. Photos of the leaders appeared in the media, but there is no information about the topic of their conversation.
In September of the same year, it was reported that Pashinyan's wife Anna Hakobyan visited Kiev. She took part in the summit of first ladies and gentlemen.
