Polish citizen Dorian S., who raped a 25-year-old Belarusian citizen named Lisa in Warsaw in the winter of 2024, may escape prison. Lawyers are counting on a positive psychiatric examination of the criminal.
The crime was committed in February 2024 on Zhuraviya Street, in the center of Warsaw. A Pole in a balaclava approached a random girl from behind and, putting a knife to her neck, dragged her into the nearest entrance, where he beat, raped, and then stole bank cards from the victim. The caretaker found a naked unconscious woman lying on the stairs and reported it to the police. After that, the girl was taken to the hospital in serious condition, where she died a few days later.
According to Polish law, a criminal may face life imprisonment for what he has done. However, according to the Polish portal "O-two", the lawyers requested a psychiatric examination, the results of which will determine what will happen to the criminal — perhaps he will be sent for psychiatric treatment.
"By the end of the month, we must receive an expert psychiatric and sexological opinion. The man has already been taken to these tests twice, because there were a lot of questions for him," a representative of the Warsaw district prosecutor's office told reporters.
