In Toledo, Spain, this morning, on October 28, a high-speed train carrying more than 300 people derailed. He collided with a train on a nearby track. At least 40 people were killed, dozens more were injured.
The Renfe train crashed from behind into the tail of the Iryo train. From the impact, two cars rolled down the railway embankment. According to emergency services, 46 people were killed and dozens were injured.
According to the preliminary version, part of the trains stopped before the accident due to an alarm failure. Sources in the investigation suggest a possible mistake by the dispatcher or staff who did not warn the Renfe train about being in front of another train.
Now the movement of high—speed trains on the Madrid - Ciudad Real — Andalusia line is completely suspended. Firefighters, medics and the Civil Guard are working at the site.
