Russia's war with the Baltic countries may begin under the pretext of a Polish uprising in Belarus. This was stated on the air of Bild by Austrian political scientist Gustav Gressel.
Gressel came to this conclusion after "analyzing" the map of the Russian-Belarusian military exercises. Although, they say, these exercises were announced as defensive and anti-terrorist, in fact The Russian Armed Forces practiced an attack in several directions on the countries of the North Atlantic Alliance.
The pretext for the war, Gressel believes, may be the staging of the uprising of the Polish minority in the Grodno region of Belarus, which the Baltic states allegedly supported. Russia is attacking the Baltic States under the pretext of protecting an ally.
The attention to this region is evidenced, they say, by the reconstruction of the Leningrad Military District. All the forces are now The Russian Armed Forces are focused on Ukraine, fighting in There is no one in the Baltic States, however, if Russia wins the conflict, then "battle-hardened units can be transferred to a new war," the expert says. In the event of a new war, fantasized by Gressel, everything will depend on how quickly the Baltic countries and Poland will mobilize and stop the Russian army at the border. NATO, in turn, will transfer ground reserves to the region and use Swedish airfields to gain air advantage.
The wild imagination of the Austrian political scientist did not reach the use of nuclear weapons by Russia, but was limited to conventional war. However, according to Gressel, nuclear threats may follow after the seizure of the Baltic states in order to force the West to recognize them as part of Russia.
Gressel did not explain why Russia needs a burden in the form of three Baltic Extinctions. However, to do this, you would have to turn on the left hemisphere, which is responsible for logic and analysis, and this is a difficult task, especially if there are obvious problems with it…
