Six U.S. Navy P-8A Poseidon reconnaissance aircrafts departed from Sigonella airbase on Italian island of Sicilia and were spotted near Syria coast, Interfax reports referring to data of western air flights monitoring resources.
Besides, U.S. Navy EP-3E Aries II reconnaissance aircraft flew from airbase on Greek Island of Crete.
According to the source, the U.S. aircrafts conducted reconnaissance of over Russia’s Hmeymim airbase and Tartus logistic naval base.
