Russia’s team has proved its domination winning the European Games in Baku ahead of time. The teams have been competing in 253 medal events in 20 sports. The Russian team has won 123 medals (59 gold, 32 silver, and 32 bronze medals). Athletes will be competing for the remaining 59 sets of medals within three days before the end of the European Games. However, no team has a chance to overhaul Russia. The second after Russia goes Azerbaijan (15 gold medals). Then go Great Britain (14) and Germany (13).
The first European Games started in Baku on June 12 and will end on June 28.
There are a total of 20 sports at Baku 2015: 16 Olympic sports and 4 non-Olympic ones. More than 6,000 sportsmen from Europe will be competing within 17 days.
