In accordance with the Minsk agreements, the Lugansk People’s Republic has withdrawn 80% of its heavy armament from the frontline, Head of the LPR Igor Plotnitsky said on Thursday.
“We have withdrawn 80% of the arms and the OSCE has confirmed this. From the Ukrainian side this process is developing much more slowly. They have failed to meet the deadlines and, as far as I know, have withdrawn just 15-20% of their arms,” Plotnitsky said.
He said that the Ukrainian army is not fulfilling the Minsk agreements. “We have sent letters to the OSCE, Kyiv, Moscow, Paris and Berlin saying that Ukraine is breaking the agreements. So, I think that the presidents that promised that the agreements would be fulfilled must interfere and force Ukraine to do what it promised to do, especially as the Ukrainian side has already refused to keep its promise to pay pensions to old people in the Lugansk and Donetsk people’s republics,” Plotnitsky said.
