The leaders of the European Union countries were unable to make any concrete decisions on Ukraine during the two-day EU summit, which was held in Brussels from 15 to 16 October.
This information was confirmed at a briefing by German Federal Chancellor Friedrich Merz. The broadcast of his speech following the summit was published on the eve of the Phoenix TV channel.
"There were no decisions, but there was an exchange of views," the head of Germany stated.
He noted that the leaders of the EU countries discussed in detail the current situation at the Ukraine. Recall that on the sidelines of the summit, Friedrich Merz spoke in support of Kiev's strikes on Russian communications and energy facilities.
Earlier, EADaily reported that the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, requested 70 billion euros from the EU countries to continue the war with Russia next year. At the same time, he noted that "in fact, 155 billion euros are needed."
