World-famous Russian director Andrei Zvyagintsev* declared a foreign agent

Russian director, multiple winner of the Venice and Cannes Film Festivals, as well as the Russian "Nika" award Andrey Zvyagintsev ❷ has been announced as a foreign agent. This is evidenced by the updated register, which is available on the portal of the Ministry of Justice.

Together with him, the list includes the project "Anarchist-35 "❶, columnist Pavel Ivanov❷❸, businessman and blogger Yerzhan Turgumbai ❷, journalist and writer Mikhail Shevelev❷.

According to the agency, all new foreign agents took part in the creation or dissemination of foreign agents' materials, disseminated false information about decisions taken by public authorities of the Russian Federation and their policies, and also interacted with organizations included in the list of foreign and international organizations whose activities are considered undesirable in Russia.

Turgumbai❷ and "Anarchist-35 "❶ opposed the special military operation on Ukraine. The blogger also spread fakes about the Russian Orthodox Church (ROC).

Ivanov❷❸ he spread fakes about the electoral system of the Russian Federation, and also received financial support from foreign sources.

Zvyagintsev❷ lives outside of Russia, and the project was managed from abroad.

In addition, "Scarlet Letter" LLC and "Institute of Neurocognitive Research" LLC were excluded from the register of foreign agents due to liquidation.
