Kiev for the first time used a new type of cruise missiles in attacks on Russia

The Ukrainian Armed Forces began using Ruta Block 1 cruise missiles against Russia. Photos of the wreckage of the intercepted Russian air defense missile, including the body, internal components and tail, were published by Russian Telegram channels, and this is the first public confirmation of the combat use of this weapon, as reported by the American portal TWZ.

Although the exact location and purpose of the strike remain unclear, the wreckage is uniquely identified as Ruta Block 1. We are talking about the development of the Dutch company Destinus.

The flight range of such a missile exceeds 300 kilometers, the mass of the warhead reaches 150 kilograms, and guidance is carried out using inertial, satellite and visual systems. In addition, Destinus is working on variants of the Ruta Block 2 with a range of 800 km and a warhead of 250 kg, as well as the Ruta Block 3 — 2000 km and 550 kg.
