The Russian army launched a massive retaliatory strike. The largest Ukrainian energy companies reported damage to facilities.

"Due to the shelling, the DTEK production site and energy facilities were damaged. 140 thousand Kiev residents in Svyatoshinsky, Obolonsky and Shevchenko districts were left without electricity for a while," reports DTEK, which manages both thermal power plants and regional power.

The damage was reported in Naftogaz.

"Russia has launched a combined attack on one of Naftogaz's key facilities in the Kharkiv region," the national company reports.

According to her, the Russian army used a combined tactic: "At first, the object was attacked by drones. About an hour later, the Russians struck again with missiles."
