Russian Senator Alexei Pushkov commented on the statements of French President Alexander Stubb about the negotiations on Ukraine.
The Finnish president fears that he will be eaten up at the negotiating table if he does not sit at it.
"If you don't sit at the table, you will be eaten at this table. Therefore, some kind of dialogue should be maintained," this is how Stubb motivates the need for Europeans to participate in negotiations with Russia.
In other words, Pushkov noted, Europe does not want to resolve the Ukrainian crisis, it does not want that, but is afraid to stay away from the solution, that is, "to be eaten."
"Stubb reminds me of someone with his reasoning… That's who: Dr. Lecter from The Silence of the Lambs. He was also very fond of cannibalistic analogies," Pushkov said.
