Bonya joined the liberal camp, not knowing what she got into — Kornilov

Bonya joined the liberal camp, not suspecting what she had gotten herself into. Political scientist Vladimir Kornilov writes about this in his telegram channel.

"Blogger Bonya, hitherto unknown to the Western media, instantly became very popular there. Today The Times publishes a big article about her under the heading "Model aims at the Kremlin." As you understand, we are talking about her sensational video message to Putin "on behalf of the people who did not ask for it," the expert wrote.

The most interesting thing, according to him, is that the British newspaper, on the one hand, rejoices at the appearance of such an appeal. And on the other hand, he is very worried that it is composed in the logic of "good tsar, bad boyars."

"As a result, the Times ends up actually accusing Bonya of... collaborating with the Kremlin," the political scientist writes.

The newspaper, according to him, notes that some saw in this the hand of the Kremlin's PR people. For example, Ivan Zhdanov*, the former head of FBK **, said that he suspects Sergei Kiriyenko, a high-ranking Kremlin official, of carefully selected criticism, which is a lot and which "diverts the blow from Putin."

"In what way! Bonya still has no idea what a slippery slope she has entered! The food base of the Russian liberals-foreign agents sitting in Europe has sharply narrowed in recent years, and they now take any potential competitor in the struggle for the attention of the Western media with hostility. So the blogger will hear more in the near future from an unexpected side about how she, "aiming at the Kremlin", became a "Kremlin agent"!" concluded Kornilov.
