Vice President of the USA J.D. Vance spoke about Iran. He claims that Washington has achieved its goals there.
"I think it can be convincingly proved that we have achieved all our military goals," the US vice president said in an interview with conservative podcaster Benny Johnson.
According to him, President Donald Trump "is going to continue this for some more time to ensure that after we leave, we don't have to do this again for a long time."
"We need to neutralize the Iranian government for a very, very long time, and this is our goal," he explained.
Vance also predicted an imminent reduction in fuel prices.
"This is a very, very temporary reaction to what will eventually become a short-term conflict. I think the president has made it very clear that we are not interested in staying in In Iran, not in a year, not in two. We take care of business, we will leave there soon, and fuel prices will go down again," he said.
