The US Navy destroyed all Iranian warships that were in The Gulf of Oman, the Central Command reported The US Armed Forces in the Middle East (CENTCOM).
"Two days ago, the Iranian regime had 11 ships in the Gulf of Oman, today there are zero of them," the report said.
"The Iranian regime has been harassing and attacking international shipping for decades in The Gulf of Oman. Those times are over. Freedom of maritime navigation has been the foundation of America's and the world's economic prosperity for more than 80 years. American troops will continue to protect it," CENTCOM stressed.
Currently, a large American naval grouping consisting of the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln, seven destroyers equipped with Tomahawk cruise missiles and Standard Missile anti-missiles, as well as two coastal warships is stationed in the Arabian Sea near the Gulf of Oman, Interfax reminds.
