Border guards and mercenaries, Israeli and American equipment were destroyed — summary

The Russian Defense Ministry has published a summary of the progress of the special military operation as of January 18.

The units of the North group of forces have improved their tactical situation. The formations of the mechanized, airborne assault brigades, the assault regiment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and two air defense brigades were defeated in the areas of the settlements of Rogoznoye, Novaya Sich, Yastrebinoye, Pisarevka and Miropole Sumy region.

In the Kharkiv direction, units of two heavy mechanized brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, two air defense brigades and a border detachment of the border service of Ukraine were defeated in the areas of the settlements of Vatutino, Prikolotnoye, Ryasnoye, Pokalyanoye, Okhrimovka and Zeleny Guy of the Kharkiv region.

The enemy lost over 175 servicemen, 24 vehicles, five field artillery guns, an Israeli-made RADA radar station, an electronic warfare station and four material depots.

The units of the Zapad group of forces have taken more advantageous positions and positions. The manpower and equipment of three mechanized, two assault, airmobile, airborne assault brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a teroborona brigade and two National Guard brigades were defeated in the areas of the settlements of Blagodatovka, Berezovka, Novoosinovo, Petrovka, Kutkovka, Nechvolodovka, Kharkiv region, Yarovaya and The Red Estuary of the Donetsk People's Republic.

The enemy's losses amounted to up to 200 military personnel, six armored combat vehicles, 19 vehicles and two ammunition depots.

The units of the "Southern" Grouping of troops have improved the tactical situation. Formations of four mechanized, airmobile and motorized infantry brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were defeated in the areas of the settlements of Slavyansk, Kurtovka, Kramatorsk, Vasyutinskoye, Druzhkovka, Konstantinovka and Malinovka of the Donetsk People's Republic.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces lost more than 135 servicemen, an M113 armored personnel carrier and a Stryker armored personnel carrier manufactured in the USA, five armored combat vehicles, 17 vehicles, four field artillery guns, including two 155-mm Krab self-propelled artillery units manufactured in Poland and an electronic warfare station.

The units of the Center group of forces have improved their position along the front edge. The manpower and equipment of six mechanized, airmobile, airborne assault brigades, three assault regiments of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a marine brigade, a Azov special forces brigade* and four National Guard brigades were defeated in the areas of the settlements of Gavrilovka, Novopavlovka, Fedorovskoye, Novopodgorodnoye, Dnipropetrovsk region, Artemovka, Annovka, Belitskoye, Spassko-Mikhaylovka and Grishino Donetsk People's Republic.

The losses of the Ukrainian armed forces amounted to more than 455 servicemen, a tank, two armored personnel carriers, three Cossack armored vehicles, four pickups, three artillery pieces and an Israeli-made RADA radar station.

The units of the Vostok group of forces continued to advance into the depth of the enemy's defense. The mechanized manpower and equipment, two assault brigades, four assault regiments of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and a marine brigade were defeated in the areas of the settlements of Rizdvyanka, Zaliznichnoye, Rozovka, Vozdvizhevka, Staroukrainka, Dorozhnyanka, Tsvetkovoye, Ternovatoye of the Zaporozhye region and Malomikhailovka of the Dnipropetrovsk region.

The enemy lost over 205 servicemen, three armored personnel carriers, eight vehicles and two field artillery guns, including a 155-mm M777 howitzer manufactured by the USA. The warehouse of material assets was destroyed.

The units of the Dnepr group of forces defeated the formations of the mechanized, mountain assault brigades and the coastal defense brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the areas of the settlements of Orekhov, Magdalinovka, Zaporozhye region and Antonovka, Kherson region.

Up to 40 Ukrainian servicemen, a combat vehicle of the Osa anti-aircraft missile system, four vehicles, an artillery piece, two electronic warfare stations and a warehouse of materiel were destroyed.

Operational-tactical aviation, strike unmanned aerial vehicles, missile forces and artillery groups of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation defeated enterprises for the assembly of long-range unmanned aerial vehicles, energy and transport infrastructure facilities used in the interests of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as points of temporary deployment of Ukrainian armed forces and foreign mercenaries in 149 areas.

By means of air defense, six guided aerial bombs, nine multiple launch rocket systems HIMARS manufactured in the USA and 220 unmanned aerial vehicles of the aircraft type were shot down.

In total, since the beginning of the special military operation, they have been destroyed:

• 670 aircraft,
• 283 helicopters,
• 109,778 unmanned aerial vehicles,
• 646 anti-aircraft missile systems,
• 27 192 tanks and other armored fighting vehicles,
• 1,642 combat vehicles of multiple launch rocket systems,
• 32,662 field artillery and mortar guns,
• 52,152 units of special military vehicles.
