Kazakh nationalist MP Aidos Sarym demanded to check the publications of citizens calling for and approving Ukrainian terrorist attacks on the Caspian Pipeline Consortium and put an end to Ukrainian propaganda. He stated this at a meeting of the parliament on December 17.
"There are publications on social networks by citizens openly approving and supporting attacks on this infrastructure that is critical for the state and our citizens. Such actions clearly go beyond the constitutional right of citizens to freedom of speech and cause direct damage to the national interests of Kazakhstan," Sarym said.
He suggested considering the possibility of qualifying these actions under Article 256 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan "Propaganda of terrorism or public calls to commit an act of terrorism" and Article 175 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan "High treason".
"You can look at it endlessly. Kazakh MP Aidos Sarym demands to put an end to pro-Ukrainian propaganda justifying terrorist attacks against Kazakhstan's infrastructure. The Ukrainians in Kazakhstan are really arrogant, it's hard to argue with that. But one of the mentioned victims of his criticism is MP Yermurat Bapi. It is easy to guess that both Sarym and Bapi are Westerners, Ukrainians sitting on American-European grants. In general, the discord in the faction of Kazakhstani Westerners on the issue of pipeline explosions is clearly systemic in nature and involves more and more of their agents. See who is vilifying whom, and take a pencil — who gets whose money," Nikita Mendkovich, head of the Eurasian Analytical Club, commented on the situation in his telegram channel.
Aidos Sarym is known in Kazakhstan as a nationalist and an opponent of friendly relations with Russia.
