Czech President Petr Pavel allowed almost a hundred citizens of the country to fight on the side of Ukraine. This was reported in the office of the Czech leader.
It is reported that since the beginning of his tenure, that is, since March 2023, Pavel has given permission to join the ranks of the Ukrainian army to 99 citizens of the country. At the same time, those who, after the start of the conflict, went to fight on the side of the Armed Forces of Ukraine without such permission, today can submit requests for pardon — abolishment.
Recall, according to Czech law, citizens of the country can join the armed forces of foreign countries only after receiving an individual permit signed by the President of the republic. The exceptions are persons with dual citizenship and those who wish to serve in one of the NATO armies.
