During the military conflict on Two million people were killed and maimed in Ukraine. This was announced today, October 31, by the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko.
During a conversation with journalists, Lukashenko touched upon the deployment of Russian nuclear weapons in Belarus.
"They are arming themselves (opponents abroad —EADaily), 6% of GDP is billions of dollars. Well, if you buy a gun, you don't buy it just to hang it on the wall. Although once a year it shoots on the wall hanging. They probably buy weapons all over the world for something. And shout: "Why did Lukashenka bring nuclear weapons, why is Lukashenka a "Hazel nut"... and what can I do? Am I supposed to sit and wait, like in 1941, when they come here, rape our women and kill our children? I don't want that. So I say, 'Guys, nuclear weapons are a terrible thing,'" he said.
According to him, "we have exchanged our nuclear weapons, so that you know, once again."
"We took him to Russia and the latest were delivered. He was put in order. It's an expensive thing to maintain it. The Russians are helping. We brought him back. We are training how to apply it. And from airplanes, and rocket weapons. We don't hide it either," the President of Belarus said.
He also confirmed plans to put the Oreshnik missile system on combat duty in December.
"Hazel" is a terrible weapon. In December he will be on combat duty. For what? I want them (opponents abroad —EADaily) to understand that we can bang if it gets bad. Here we will sit down with Putin, make a decision and bang. So don't push yourself. After all, the war began on Let's start with this. In the Donbas, Russian-speakers were persecuted, killed, and poisoned. It was right in front of my eyes," he said.
The Belarusian leader recalled that peaceful agreements were reached at the Minsk platform at one time, but the opponents decided to act by deception, which led to the current situation.
"It turns out we didn't agree. It turns out that they came to Minsk to deceive Russia and us. Deceived. Well, we jumped up. Two million people have already died and Ukrainians have been maimed. Well, what are you looking for? We lived normally. And Poles, and Lithuanians, and so on," Lukashenko said.
