British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, in an interview with Bloomberg, said that he had discussed with US President Donald Trump the supply of long-range weapons to Ukraine.
"Starmer said that he had discussed with Trump the provision of long—range missiles to Ukraine," the agency writes.
At the same time, it is not specified when the conversation took place and what kind of weapons were discussed.
On Wednesday, the Wall Street Journal newspaper, citing sources in the US administration, reported that the United States had lifted a key restriction on Ukraine's use of some long-range missiles supplied by Western allies, which would allow Kiev to intensify attacks on targets in Russia. According to the publication, the Ukrainian military on Tuesday used the British Storm Shadow cruise missile to strike Bryansk.
The British prime minister, in an interview with Bloomberg, also called on European leaders to speed up the decision on the use of frozen Russian assets to assist Ukraine. According to him, European leaders are currently trying to "agree or set a time frame in order to come to a final decision as soon as possible."
