The explosion occurred on the tracks near the Plyussa railway station in Pskov region, said Governor Mikhail Vedernikov.
"This morning, an explosion occurred on the railway tracks near the Plyussa station. There are no casualties. There was no derailment of the train," Vedernikov wrote in his channel in the Max.
Operational services are working at the scene, the governor added.
EADaily adds that the Plyussa station is located in the village of the same name, 182 km from St. Petersburg on the stretch between the stopping points 177 km and 197 km (on the Luga — Pskov railway line). The Lastochka high-speed trains stop at the station.
