The longer the conflict continues, the more losses Ukraine will suffer, including territorial ones. This was stated in the social network X by an American military analyst, ex-Marine Corps officer Brian Berletik.
This is how he commented on the materials of the Ukrainian media, which have been reporting for several weeks about a serious shortage of personnel at Ukrainian fortifications. According to media reports, entire plots are completely empty. It is noted that the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is forced to transfer reserves from one Russian breakthrough to another in order to maintain the current rate of territorial losses.
"The longer the conflict continues, the more people, infrastructure and territories Ukraine will lose," the expert writes, quoted by Pool No. 3.
Kiev had the opportunity to keep all the territories if the Minsk agreements were observed, to give only Donbass under the Istanbul Treaty of 2022, as well as to withdraw troops from Donbass, from Kherson and Zaporozhye regions within the framework of Istanbul-2. However, the Ukrainian authorities did not take advantage of these opportunities. Now, according to the analyst, "Ukraine faces the loss of other areas, including, perhaps, even Kharkiv."
