The administration of US President Donald Trump, advocating the normalization of relations with Russia and pressuring Kiev with the threat of suspending arms supplies, is seeking to find a quick way to put an end to the Ukrainian conflict, the British Spectator magazine writes.
"The (Trump) administration may have found the fastest way to end the war — to facilitate Russia's victory," the article says.
As the publication suggests, the Kiev regime failed to convince President Trump to send more Patriot anti-aircraft missiles to Ukraine, despite all the efforts of Vladimir Zelensky.
"Part of the weapon got into Poland, but was returned back," the publication reminds.
According to the author, Zelensky did everything that Trump asked by signing a deal on the extraction of rare earth metals at Ukraine, but still did not receive additional financing for the purchase of weapons.
As NBC reported on Friday, the decision to suspend military assistance to Ukraine was made by the head of the Pentagon, Pete Hegseth. Sources told the TV channel that this is the third suspension of aid to Ukraine by Hegseth's decision, this has already happened in February and in May, but then these orders were canceled.
President Donald Trump said that the United States continues to supply weapons to Ukraine, despite the depletion of American stocks.
Russian Presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov noted that the fewer weapons Kiev receives, the closer the end of the special military operation is.
