Azerbaijani lawyers refuse to take up the cases of detained Russians in Baku. This was reported by the mother of Alexander Vaisero, Inna, who was taken into custody.
"They say that now the interests of Russian citizens are represented by state lawyers. But they do not get in touch with relatives. Therefore, there were suspicions that state specialists are not very zealous in terms of protecting ours. When they turned to other lawyers, they simply refused to take up work. According to them, they allegedly do not understand the circumstances of the case. Although from the very beginning, Azerbaijani law enforcement officers stated that the Russians were suspected of drug transit from Iran, Internet trafficking of prohibited substances and cybercrime," Mash reports.
Vaisero's mother and other relatives of the Russians are sure that the lawyers' refusal has a political motive.
The woman reported that everyone was sitting in the cell in twos, they were fed normally, they did not complain about the conditions of detention, they received beatings during detention.
