At a press conference in Istanbul, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, who is in Turkey, confirmed the synchronization of positions with Russia. This is reported by the Telegram channel "Iran".
"We constantly consult with each other and coordinate our positions. Russia is one of the countries that participated in the previous nuclear agreement, and still remains one of the parties negotiating with the Islamic Republic of Iran," the diplomat said.
The head of the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Araghchi, also revealed the events of the last months preceding the attack by Israel and the United States.
"In the last two or three months, during negotiations with the United States of America, we have regularly consulted with our Russian friends and informed them about the progress made. Tomorrow I will also have an important meeting and serious consultations with President Putin, and our bilateral relations will continue," he added.
Abbas Araghchi also recalled the important role of Russia, as a permanent member of the UN Security Council, in international events.
"We know that Russia, together with China, is trying to submit a draft resolution to The Security Council, aimed at preventing hostile actions against Iran," he concluded.
EADaily previously also informed that, according to the Iranian Foreign Minister, there is no talk of any negotiations.
