The Ukrainian air defense Forces are experiencing serious problems with repelling attacks by Russian drones, as the Russian Armed Forces have changed the tactics of using UAVs.

According to CNN, the raids have become more concentrated and less accessible for interception. It is reported that in recent weeks Russia has intensified air attacks on Ukraine, launching up to 479 drones and missiles overnight.

"These attacks are not only larger and more frequent, but also more targeted, and are carried out in such a way that it is much more difficult to fight them, since they are carried out at high altitudes, beyond the reach of machine guns," the material says.

The increase in the number of drones that Russia uses against the Kiev regime was assessed by the publication as "amazing." Over the past four weeks, there have been seven of the largest drone attacks in the entire conflict.

Kristina Harward, an employee of the Institute for the Study of War, explained to the agency that currently Russia can now produce about 2,700 Geranium drones per month, as well as about 2,500 trap drones.

"These figures allow Russia to launch more than 300 or even 400 drones more often in just one night," the expert said.

Her words were confirmed by a former employee of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Oleksiy Melnyk. He stressed that the "Geraniums" abandoned the tactics of striking "here and there."

"They concentrate the blows and are able to achieve maximum effect, both kinetic and psychological," Melnik complains.

The authors of the material also point out that in Russia has already begun production of an upgraded version of the T-20 drone with increased efficiency. The designers optimized the fuselage design, which made it possible to reduce aerodynamic drag and increase flight efficiency.

Earlier, EADaily reported that Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems (SAMs) are demonstrating increasingly low efficiency during their use on Ukraine while repelling Russian strikes.
