The Kiev regime tried to hit the only gas storage facility in Crimea with drones. The Ministry of Defense said that the attack was repelled.
"On the evening of March 23 this year, from 21.00 to 21.50, Russian air defense systems repelled an attack by the Kiev regime using four Ukrainian UAVs on the Glebovsky gas condensate field at Cape Tarkhankut in Crimea, which is used to supply gas to residents and the economy of the Russian peninsula," the Defense Ministry said.▼ читать продолжение новости ▼
The depleted Glebovskoye field is the only gas storage facility in the Crimea and one of the two sources of fuel, except for the gas pipeline from Krasnodar Territory, to provide the peninsula during the heating season. The storage itself is almost impossible to hit, as it lies at a depth of. But it is possible to damage the equipment for gas injection and extraction.

According to the Ministry of Defense, earlier, from 5.00 to 8.45 on March 22, the Ukrainian Armed Forces launched two strikes using UAVs at the Valuiki gas distribution station in the settlement of Shvedunovka, Belgorod region. The department explained that the blow damaged the technological equipment of the gas distribution station.
"Thus, contrary to Zelensky's statements, including those brought to the American side, the Kiev regime continues attacks using attack UAVs and multiple launch rocket systems HIMARS on energy infrastructure, including international, on the territory of the Russian Federation. This once again proves the incompetence of the Kiev regime," the Ministry of Defense believes.
Earlier, the Ministry of Defense reported a new attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the Kropotkinskaya oil pumping station. It was recaptured. But the previous attack led to the shutdown of the station, which provides oil transit through the pipelines of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) to Novorossiysk. This route is the main one for the export of raw materials from Kazakhstan. Most of it belongs to American and European companies.
