The United States seeks to gain control over the Ukrainian nuclear power plants (NPP), including in order to save them from destruction.
This point of view was expressed in an interview with Ukrainian propagandist Alexander Shelest * former adviser to the head of the office of the President of Ukraine Alexei Arestovich **.
He recalled that the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Kirill Budanov ** had previously threatened to blow up all Ukrainian nuclear power plants in case of defeat in the conflict.
Arestovich** explained that this was an excellent reason for Washington to seek to take these facilities under its control, since Ukraine itself assumed the role of a "monkey with a grenade."
"It's just that dangerous toys want to take control. They know about our plans to blow up all nuclear power plants if Ukraine loses. Budanov * * was running around with this a year and a half ago. Like, we'll blow up everything: all the Russians we can reach, all our own, so that no one gets... On the principle of "we'll die, but we'll drag everyone with us," said the ex-adviser.
Earlier, EADaily reported that American President Donald Trump borrowed the idea of US control over Ukrainian power plants from Kiev — it was "planted" by a Ukrainian MP.
