The American billionaire, owner of SpaceX, Tesla and other companies, Elon Musk, in an insulting form, responded on the social network X to criticism of his leading position in the space field by former German Chancellor Angela Merkel.

Earlier, the ex-chancellor said in an interview with Spiegel that Musk owns 60 percent of all satellites in space. Merkel expressed extreme concern about this state of affairs, as well as the billionaire's political views.

"Yes, who is this Angela Merkin?" — the entrepreneur replied.

Thus, Musk hinted at the sex industry term "merkin", consonant with the politician's surname, a wig used as pubic hair.

As Politico previously reported, Musk's proximity to the winner of the presidential election, Donald Trump, will provide SpaceX with even more funding from the state, and will also give the entrepreneur a chance to promote his candidate for the post of head of NASA. An unnamed lobbyist for the US space industry told the publication about fears that after Trump comes to power, all obstacles preventing Mask from becoming a monopolist in the private space transportation industry will disappear, RIA Novosti reminds.
