The candidate for the presidency of the United States from the Republican Party, Donald Trump, is still more than three times ahead of his rival from the Democratic Party, Kamala Harris, in terms of the number of electoral votes in the presidential election, according to the Associated Press forecast.
According to the agency's calculations, as of 3.15 Moscow time on Wednesday, the Republican managed to secure 19 votes, and his rival — only three.
The US presidential election is taking place at these hours. The Democratic Party is represented by Vice President Kamala Harris, the Republican Party is represented by former President Donald Trump.
The outcome of the vote in the swing states, where none of the parties has an unambiguous advantage, will be decisive. This year, these include Arizona, Wisconsin, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, Pennsylvania and North Carolina.
