A schoolgirl detained on charges of murdering a pensioner in Georgia, explained its actions with the necessary defense.

A 15-year-old girl said she injured a 74-year-old man when he tried to rape her.

The girl came to Surami on vacation. The deceased is a taxi driver. The tragedy occurred on the territory of a wasteland near a former glass factory. The man has multiple stab wounds that caused his death, the portal "News Georgia" reports.

Relatives of the deceased reject the version of attempted rape and suggest that the girl tried to rob a taxi driver.

The investigation continues under Article 108 of the Criminal Code of Georgia — premeditated murder. This crime is punishable by imprisonment for a term of 10 to 15 years.
