During the shelling of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Petrovsky district of Donetsk, the number of victims at the moment is 11 people. Such data was reported to RIA Novosti by the Ministry of Health of the DPR.
According to the DPR representative office in the JCCC, Ukrainian troops fired 11 155 mm caliber shells in 15 minutes from 12:20 Moscow time. The head of the DPR Denis Pushilin reported that seven people were injured, including a teenager.
The situation with the victims of the fire in the Galaktika shopping center, where a powerful fire started after the shelling, remains unclear - its area was more than 10 thousand square meters. Extinguishing is complicated by the operational situation. The city hospital No. 14 was also damaged.
One of the volunteers working at the scene of the emergency, on the air of the Rossiya 24 TV channel, said that the hypermarket caught fire immediately after the impact, about 20 people were saved.
It should be noted that Galaktika shopping center is the only large store in the district, there were always a lot of customers in it during the day.
