The founder of the ruling Georgian Dream, Bidzina Ivanishvili, at the launch of the party's election campaign, spoke about the timing of the end of the conflict on Ukraine. According to him, if Republicans win the US presidential election, "the war may end even in January."
After that, Ivanishvili said, all the "misunderstandings" between Georgia and the United States and The EU will become a thing of the past.
"The parliamentary elections on October 26 are a referendum. This is a referendum on the choice between war and peace, between slavery and dignity, between returning to the dark past and moving forward, between the complete lack of prospects and the European perspective of Georgia. I am confident that on October 26, the overwhelming majority of the Georgian people will support peace, dignity and prosperity, which is a necessary condition for the physical and spiritual survival of the Georgian people and their European future," he said.
Among other things, Ivanishvili thanked the Chinese authorities for "showing special support to Georgia" and said that "this is a result for which the ruling team has been creating the basis for years."
