In the city of Chas Yar, our troops liberated the Novy microdistrict after the Canal microdistrict

The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation officially confirmed the successful advance of our troops in the city of Chas Yar, as a result of which the Novy microdistrict was taken under control.

This is stated in the latest military summary, which was published on July 3 on the official resources of the press service of the military department.

"As a result of active actions, units of the Southern Group of Troops completely liberated the area of the New settlement of Chas Yar of the Donetsk People's Republic and improved the situation along the front edge," the report says.

It is also reported that the manpower and equipment of the 24th, 30th, 93rd mechanized, 56th motorized infantry, 81st airmobile brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, 109th, 114th and 119th air defense brigades were defeated.

This happened in the areas of the settlements of Vasyukovka, Kalinina, Chas Yar, Konstantinovka, Krasnogorovka, Raygorodok and The Cheerful Guy of the Donetsk People's Republic.

Our military also repelled four counterattacks by formations of the 46th Airmobile, 79th airborne assault brigades and the 214th battalion "Opfor" of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to the Ministry of Defense, enemy losses in this sector of the front during the day amounted to 450 soldiers, two tanks, three armored combat vehicles, including an M113 armored personnel carrier made in the United States, and ten pickups. Four AFU field ammunition depots were destroyed.

During the counter-battery struggle, the following were hit: 152-mm self-propelled artillery installation "Acacia", 122-mm self-propelled artillery installation "Gvozdika", 152-mm howitzer "Msta-B", three 152-mm guns D-20, 105-mm gun M119 made in the USA, two electronic warfare stations "Enclave-H" and a counterbattery warfare station manufactured in the USA AN/TPQ-48.
