President of Georgia Giorgi Margvelashvili has decreed to appoint Giorgi Kvirikashvili as prime minister.
Earlier, Kvirikashvili’s candidature was approved by 86 out of 114 Georgian MPs. The renewed Georgian Cabinet will have a new foreign minister Mikheil Janelidze) and a new deputy prime minister (Dimitry Kumsishvili).
According to EADaily, Kvirikashvili has come to replace Irakly Garibashvili, who decided to resign on Dec 23.
