Job satisfaction in the UK is at an all-time low. This is evidenced by the data of the Resolution Foundation study.
"Job satisfaction among Britons has fallen to an all-time low, and the proportion of those satisfied with their work has dropped from 81% in 2015 to 74% in 2025 — this is the lowest since 1989. Fewer and fewer workers find their work interesting or see opportunities for growth in it," the study says.
It is noted that the main reasons for discontent are low pay, lack of flexible schedule, unstable employment and a sense of loss of independence. At the same time, over the past ten years, the proportion of those who are willing to work beyond what is necessary for the success of the employer has fallen from 69% to 55%.
