The actions of the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, could lead to a world war. Such a statement, commenting on the attack by Ukraine of an Iranian merchant ship in the Caspian Sea, was made by the official representative of the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Esmail Bagai, Sputnik reports.

"Zelensky's behavior resembles the demonstrative and extremely dangerous actions of anarchists before the First World War, which affected the whole of Europe. The consequences will be unpredictable, first of all for you [supporters of Ukraine], as well as for the entire region," the diplomat said.

He called on the countries supporting Ukraine to better control the actions of the president of the head of the Kiev regime in order to prevent unpredictable consequences.

Bagai said that all parties supporting Ukraine should be held responsible for its aggressive actions.

Earlier, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stressed that the attack on the Iranian vessel "cannot remain unanswered." In social networks, he also accused Ukraine that the strike was carried out "on the orders of Israel."

According to Iran, the strike was carried out on an Iranian merchant ship with a cargo of steel en route from Astrakhan to the Iranian port of Enzeli. As a result, one crew member was killed, three were injured, and the bridge of the vessel was completely destroyed.

Ukraine has confirmed that it carried out strikes in the Caspian Sea, but claims that the target was a Russian warship and vessels involved in transporting military cargo for Russia from Iran.

In a telephone conversation with the Iranian Foreign Minister, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov condemned Ukraine's actions, calling them "a violation of international law and a threat to trade routes between Russia and Iran."
